Cookie Policy
Sales Core B.V. — trading as KOVA · Effective: 1 April 2025 · Version 1.0 · Governing law: Netherlands / Germany (ePrivacy Directive · TDDDG · GDPR)
Cookies are small. This policy is not — because you deserve to understand exactly what happens on takekova.com from the moment you visit.
The short version: we only place non-essential cookies with your explicit, freely given consent. Essential cookies that keep the website and checkout running are placed without consent, as permitted by law.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit. When we say “cookies” in this policy, we also mean:
- Local storage & session storage — browser-based storage used by Shopify for cart and session continuity
- Pixels — tiny, invisible images embedded in pages or emails (used by Meta and Google) that signal when a page has been loaded
- SDKs and scripts — JavaScript code from third parties such as Google Analytics, Meta, and Klaviyo, which may collect and transmit behavioural data
The legal framework
- EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) — requires prior consent before placing cookies or accessing information on a user’s device
- Dutch Telecommunicatiewet, Article 11.7a — requires explicit opt-in consent; soft opt-in is not permitted in the Netherlands
- German TDDDG (§25) — Germany’s implementation, applying to all services directed at German users
- GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) — governs the personal data that cookies may collect and transmit
In practice: you will always see our cookie consent banner on your first visit. We will not place any non-essential cookies before you make a choice.

How we manage consent — our CMP
We use a certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) compliant with IAB Europe TCF v2.2. On your first visit, a consent banner presents three choices:
- Accept all — you consent to all four cookie categories
- Reject all — only essential cookies are placed. You can still purchase normally
- Manage preferences — accept or reject each non-essential category individually
There is no cookie wall. Choosing “Reject all” will never block access to our website.
Google Consent Mode v2
- Analytics consented: GA4 collects full session-level data for our reporting
- Analytics rejected: GA4 switches to cookieless modelling — a small, aggregated, non-identifying signal is sent
- Advertising consented: Meta Pixel and Google Ads pixels activate
- Advertising rejected: No pixels fire. Our advertising continues but is not personalised to your visit
